Internship informationGeneral Farm Description: Duke Farms is a leader of environmental stewardship. Through our agroecology program we raise beef and layer hens. We rotationally graze our herd of Simmental, Red Angus and SimAngus cattle. Our hens are pastured using and eggmobile, and we have a small herd of goats to help with brush. We also make hay, straw and compost. There is a small scale vegetable operation on site as well.

This position which is transitioning to a FT position will include all aspects of farm work, in all extremes of weather, including, but not limited to: mowing, day-to-day livestock care (beef cattle, chickens, goats), fieldwork, haying, harvest, paddock layout, fencing installation and maintenance, and marketing if needed. Opportunity to take initiative in an area of interest and receive additional training.
